“Guess that’s one way of going about it,” Shaking his head, Set let out an over dramatic sigh, “Or you’re just so caught up in the past you long to feel me again but aren’t sure how. So you just lash out at the precious goods you once wrapped yourself around,” Looking over with his lips curling up in delight, he hums. “I might be onto something there, don’t you think? I think so.”

Watching the glass glint silver light from the moon and stars peaking out above, he sighs and slowly rolls his shoulders back. “It was either throw it at the wall or throw it at you for wounding me so. The bartender is probably hoping I don’t go back inside. I was rather short with him.”

Meeting that piercing glare with a flutter of his lashes, Set smiled in return, brows wiggling up and down before he laughed once. The little bits of mirth faded into longing however along his features at he studied the constellations. His hands slid into his pockets, fiddling with his wallet and phone, before saying. “Yes but, you would think…there was a reason for us, going through these cycles. I’m no longer content with just existing, are you? We were made to rule this world, and yet here we are like disposable pawns. There has to be a point where the Universe cracks back open for us and accepts us for what he truly are…gods.”

With a wave of his hand, Set’s smirk returned, “There you go again, denying me like always, remember how I took you one hundred years ago and you denied me between kisses until I had you panting and begging for more…the only time you tell the truth is when I’m between your legs.” Looking over, his expression seductive but also taunting, his left brow rises, “Does he?” Turning towards Horus, his right shoulder against the brick wall he took another step forward.

“Because I always seem to remember you best when you’re falling apart in either rapture or pain…”

“I doubt it. You have had a habit of being delusional, these past few centuries.” Horus quips, quirking an eyebrow and folding his arms. “If you’re onto anything, it’s the road to insanity.”

The silence of contemplation was one Horus enjoyed, and would much prefer if Set stayed this quiet for the rest of the evening rather than open his big mouth and say something unintelligent or offensive. “I was never content with merely existing, none of us were. However our situation still stands - we may be gods, but we are not powerful. At least, not nearly as much. The universe will do as it pleases, unfortunately for us. And I think it’s down to us to create our standing, rather than sitting around and waiting for us to regain our places in the heavens.”

Rolling his eyes and shaking his head, Horus brushed off the comments as easily as he brushed off Set’s attitude.

“Yes, 1900s, wasn’t it? Unfortunately before pepper spray was introduced… Denying you between kisses and every other sick thing you tried to pull on me.” Sighing, the god of the skies kept his gaze fixed on his domain. “And what did you do afterward?” Horus grinned, looking back at Set with bitterness. “Left. Like the coward you are, tail between your legs. So afraid I might best you again - like I always do after you’ve had your way - I didn’t see you again for a good few decades. How very typical of you to only remember those moments, and not your own weaknesses…”
